So, thanks to borg_princess, I have copies of Dangers Untold and Shove's Tale again.

There may be some dancing for joy happening over here. :)

While I'm still hesitant to repost them to FF.net, I may go ahead and rearchive these fics over on AO3.

Just in case.

On a different topic ... supposing I was writing a story that's based on Alice in Wonderland, but not on any of the established remakes of it (like Tim Burtons, or the SyFy version, etc. -- both of which I love, by the way, but this is something else.) It's kind of my original (well, as original as such a thing can be, I suppose) take on the story. Would any of you be interested in reading such a thing, if I were to post a few chapters here?

Alice? Oh HELL yes. Bring. It. On.

AO3 is a great back-up site, esp. because it allows readers to download the fics in various formats for e-readers. This is a HUGE boon when the fics are way long. I sure how you get your stuff back; man, what a shitty turn of events!

So glad you got your stories back! And major condolences on the data loss. I feel like that sort of thing is comparable to a house fire or other more traditional major life disaster.

And yes, yes, yes x1000 to reading your Alice chapters if you wanted to post them.

Oh, good, that's a relief! And yes, I'm all for original fiction from you. :)

Absolutely - I love the way you write and would be very interested in reading your original fiction as well! :)

Great news!

If you write it, we'll read it! ;)

I would absolutely love to read your Alice story :)

And I'm so glad someone was able to help out with those copies of your old stories. I know I would be devastated if I lost any of my writing.

You are one lucky puppy! It's only a blessing to have awesome followers! Never know when they can save your behind. Glad to hear they came through for you. FYI, I back up all my work, ff and original on dropbox. You get several gigs free to start and text takes up nothing. You get up to 8g if you invite more people, just an idea.

I'm so glad you found copies of your fics!

Even if it isn't Labyrinth related or Dust, I'd be interested in reading it. Recently re-discovered my love of Alice through the Disney movie, as it's on Netflix now.

I'm so happy you got copies of your stories back!
I saw a post elsewhere about the fry and started scrabbling through my hard drive. Only have a couple Labyrinth fics I've had the presence of mind to save unfortunately. ('What You Wish For' being one, actually.) And then to the internet, to no avail. And then I saw the update. Durp. But yay!

Hello. :D I've never commented here before, but I've been going through saving all of my bookmarked fanfiction recently--honestly, I'm on a bit of a spree!--and I just read about what happened to your poor computer and all your files. I know it's been quite a while, but I still wanted to say that I'm so sorry. I've had similar happen to me and it's kind of heartbreaking. :( I'm sorry you lost so many things, but I am glad that you were able to recover DU and ST again. I'm a big fan of your Labyrinth writing and was very sad to see them go.

I'll end this by saying that I think you're a great writer and that I agree with the other fans here and would love to read anything Alice based you might have written. *waves*
